OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer to join an LNG tanker trading in European waters. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and engine team to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently.

• Key responsibilities:
• Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
• Monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries, boilers and all related systems
• Oversee fuel, lube oil and bunkering operations as assigned
• Lead and supervise engine room ratings and fitters
• Carry out planned maintenance and keep engine room logs and records up to date
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and international rules
• Support safe and efficient LNG cargo operations from the machinery side

• Requirements:
• Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2) license, preferably with LNG/tanker endorsement
• Recent experience as 2/E on LNG or other tanker vessels
• Good knowledge of engine room systems, PMS and safety procedures
• All required STCW certificates, medicals and documents valid for Europe
• Good English communication skills and ability to work in an international crew
