Join OSM Thome as a 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer on an offshore heavy lift crane vessel in Qatar. This is a good step for engineers looking to build strong offshore experience in a hands-on engine room role.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist with operation and maintenance of main engines, generators and auxiliary machinery
- Carry out routine checks, inspections and equipment testing as directed by senior engineers
- Support planned maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting in the engine room
- Monitor engine room parameters and report any irregularities promptly
- Follow all safety procedures and permit to work systems
- Keep engine room and workshop areas clean, tidy and well organized
- Requirements:
- Valid 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer CoC appropriate for the vessel
- Previous seagoing experience in the engine room, preferably on offshore or similar vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore medical
- Good English communication skills, spoken and written
- Strong safety awareness and willingness to work in a multinational crew
- Ready to work on rotation in Qatar offshore sector
