- Key responsibilities:
- Assist with mooring, anchoring, and cargo operations
- Perform deck maintenance, including chipping, painting, and cleaning
- Stand lookout and assist on bridge watch as directed
- Handle lines, fenders, and gangway under officer’s supervision
- Support safety drills and follow all onboard safety procedures
- Requirements:
- Valid STCW certificates for OS and basic safety training
- Previous experience as OS on ocean-going vessels (bulk carrier experience an advantage)
- Valid seafarer’s medical certificate and seaman’s book
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for deck work and willing to work in a multinational crew
