Join OSM Thome as Daughter Craft Skipper (Master) on an offshore support vessel working in the North Sea. If you are an experienced captain with strong boat handling skills in demanding weather and sea conditions, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe navigation and operation of the daughter craft during all offshore activities
- Plan and execute launch and recovery operations from the mother vessel
- Lead and manage the daughter craft crew and ensure good communication at all times
- Carry out toolbox talks, risk assessments and follow all safety procedures
- Keep logs and reports accurate and up to date
- Ensure the daughter craft and equipment are well maintained and ready for operation
Requirements
- Valid Master (CPT) / Skipper certificate suitable for daughter craft / small workboat operations
- Strong experience with offshore support vessels, preferably in the North Sea
- Proven hands-on experience handling daughter craft in harsh weather and sea states
- STCW certificates in line with rank and trade
- Good English communication skills, spoken and written
- Solid safety mindset and ability to lead a small crew under pressure
