Description
Gas Engineer required for LPG/Ethylene tanker trading worldwide. Candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient operation, monitoring and maintenance of all cargo gas systems, with a strong focus on ammonia cargoes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor LPG/Ethylene cargo systems, including ammonia
- Operate and maintain GCU and Cascade systems
- Oversee cargo loading, discharging, cooling down and warming up
- Maintain and troubleshoot gas plant and related equipment
- Ensure safe cargo operations in line with company procedures and international regulations
- Keep accurate cargo and plant logs and report technical issues promptly
- Assist senior officers during cargo operations and emergency drills
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience on LPG/Ethylene tankers
- Proven ammonia cargo experience (mandatory)
- Preferably 12 months experience in rank as Gas Engineer
- Valid STCW Class 2 or Class 3 license
- Advanced Gas Tanker Endorsements
- Experience with GCU and Cascade systems
- Medically fit for sea service and able to work worldwide rotation
