OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Casino Slot Technician Supervisor to join Royal Caribbean's shipboard team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced cruise ship environment.
As the Casino Slot Technician Supervisor, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of casino slot machines, arcade equipment, and fitness equipment while supervising a team of Slot Technicians. You will ensure all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards, contributing to an outstanding guest experience.
Requirements:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Slot Technician team.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate Slot Technicians to maintain high performance and service standards.
- Ensure all slot machines, arcade games, change machines, card shufflers, and gym equipment are properly maintained and repaired.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment following manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of casino, arcade, and fitness equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Manage spare parts inventory and prepare requisitions for tools and replacement components.
- Perform machine testing, coin filling, jackpot verification, and maintenance of gaming equipment.
- Monitor slot management systems to ensure accurate machine reporting and revenue tracking.
- Prepare daily, voyage, monthly, and quarterly operational and financial reports.
- Participate in casino counts, machine programming, progressive gaming system maintenance, and electronic display repairs.
- Assist guests with gaming equipment and provide professional, friendly customer service.
- Identify and report suspicious activity or security concerns to management.
- Collaborate with Casino Management to identify VIP and high-value players.
- Promote a safe, efficient, and guest-focused working environment.
Qualifications and Competence:
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in slot machine operations or technical casino maintenance.
- Previous experience as a Slot Technician in a live casino environment is highly preferred.
- Formal training in electrical, mechanical, or electronic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Cruise ship casino experience is considered a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of slot machine repair, maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Experience working with electronic gaming systems, arcade equipment, and related technologies.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, safety procedures, and mechanical drawings.
- Understanding of slot accounting systems and revenue reporting.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop an international technical team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high operational standards
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations and reconcile financial transactions.
- Technical certifications in electronics or electrical engineering are considered an advantage.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Additional languages such as Spanish, French, or German are considered an asset.
