OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer to join our oil/chemical tanker fleet trading worldwide. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to keep all engine room machinery running safely and efficiently.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Monitor and operate main engine, auxiliaries, boilers and associated systems
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
- Maintain engine room logs, records and reports
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and international regulations
- Supervise and guide engine room ratings
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (Motor) license, STCW III/2 or equivalent
- Recent sea service on oil/chemical tankers in 2/E rank preferred
- Good knowledge of tanker operations, ISM and ISPS
- Valid STCW basic and advanced tanker endorsements
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- WITH 12 MONTHS RANK EXPERIENCE IN OIL/CHEM TANKER
- PREFERABLY WITH VALID US VISA C1/D
