As a Bar Server, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional beverage service to guests throughout their cruise vacation. You will be responsible for ensuring that bar service areas are fully prepared, guests are informed of promotions and activities, and all service is carried out in line with Carnival standards, safety requirements, and public health guidelines.
This is an ideal role for someone with bar service experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional beverage service to guests
- Maintain full knowledge of drink menus, ingredients, pricing, daily specials, and onboard promotions
- Ensure waiter stations are fully stocked and prepared with ice, fruit trays, glasses, and service supplies
- Support assigned revenue targets through excellent service and product knowledge
- Keep bar and guest areas clean, organized, and in line with Carnival standards
- Follow all Sail & Sign procedures correctly at all times
- Assist in monitoring guest wellbeing and report concerns regarding intoxicated guests to Bar Management or Security
- Set up and break down service areas and tables for special events and functions
- Wash glasses, clean equipment, and assist with the maintenance of bar stations, fridges, storerooms, and ice machines
- Support bartenders with receiving, stock arrangement, and bar inventory
- Attend safety drills, meetings, private functions, and other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a hotel, bar, club, or similar beverage service environment
- Fluency in conversational English
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to lift at least 60 lbs
- Able to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum age of 21 years
