Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on a chemical tanker trading worldwide. We are looking for a hands-on, safety-minded leader who can support the Master, manage deck crew and cargo operations, and keep the vessel running safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Master in navigation, ship handling and overall vessel management
- Plan and supervise cargo operations for chemicals, including loading, discharging and tank cleaning
- Oversee deck crew, work planning and safe working practices
- Maintain deck, cargo and safety equipment in good order
- Lead onboard safety, ISM and environmental procedures
- Prepare and follow up port calls, documentation and reports
Requirements
- Valid Chief Officer (Unlimited) license
- Proven experience as Chief Officer on chemical tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker/chemical endorsements as required
- Strong knowledge of chemical cargo handling and safety procedures
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
