Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on a PSV working in UK waters. You will play a key role in safe deck operations, navigation, and vessel management, supporting the Master and leading the deck crew in day-to-day offshore work.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Master with safe navigation and ship handling
- Plan and supervise cargo and deck operations on the PSV
- Lead, manage and train deck crew
- Monitor stability, loading, and ballasting
- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with procedures
- Oversee maintenance of deck equipment and safety gear
- Assist with emergency drills and response
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate Certificate of Competency
- Recent offshore / PSV experience
- Strong DP and cargo handling knowledge (where applicable)
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore medical
- Good English communication skills
- Proven leadership and deck management experience
