Join OSM Thome as Motorman / Oiler on an offshore PSV trading in UK waters. You will work closely with the engineering team to keep all machinery safe, reliable and in good running order.
Key responsibilities
- Assist engineers with operation and routine maintenance of main and auxiliary engines
- Carry out daily oiling, greasing and cleaning of engine room equipment
- Monitor machinery readings and report any abnormalities
- Perform basic repairs and upkeep of pumps, pipes and systems
- Keep engine room, workshop and tools in safe and tidy condition
- Follow all safety procedures and take part in drills and toolbox talks
Requirements
- Previous experience as Motorman / Oiler, preferably on PSV or offshore vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Engine Room Watch Rating or equivalent documents as per flag requirements
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a small offshore team
- Right to work / obtain necessary documents for service in the United Kingdom sector
