We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer (C/E) for offshore FPSO/FSO operations based in Cairo, Egypt. Join OSM Thome and take the lead in running and maintaining all technical systems onboard, ensuring safe and efficient operations at all times.
- Key responsibilities:
- Oversee operation and maintenance of all engine room and technical equipment
- Ensure safe and efficient performance of machinery and systems
- Lead, guide and train the engine department crew
- Plan and follow up on maintenance, repairs and inspections
- Ensure compliance with class, flag, company and safety requirements
- Monitor fuel, lube oil and spare parts consumption and inventory
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license, STCW compliant
- Previous experience as C/E on FPSO/FSO or similar offshore units preferred
- Strong knowledge of marine engines, auxiliaries and control systems
- Good command of English, written and spoken
- Strong safety mindset and leadership skills
- Fit for offshore duty and willing to work in a rotation system
