OSM Thome is looking for a competent 3rd Officer for our oil/chemical tanker fleet trading worldwide. Sail with us in a professional, safety-focused environment with stable operations and good support from shore.
- Key responsibilities:
- Stand bridge watch and ensure safe navigation as per COLREGs and company procedures
- Assist with cargo operations, tank cleaning and monitoring of cargo equipment
- Maintain and update navigational charts, publications and bridge equipment
- Support implementation of safety, security and environmental procedures (ISM/ISPS)
- Participate in mooring, anchoring and emergency drills
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Officer / OOW (Deck) license, meeting STCW requirements
- Experience on oil and/or chemical tankers preferred
- All mandatory STCW certificates and valid tanker endorsements
- Good English communication skills
- Medically fit for sea service and ready for worldwide trading
