Set sail with OSM Thome as an Able Seafarer (AB) on a modern car carrier, trading worldwide. Work with an experienced crew, keep the vessel in good condition, and support safe cargo and deck operations across international waters.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out mooring, unmooring, anchoring and cargo-related deck work
- Perform lookout and helmsman duties as required by the bridge team
- Assist with lashing and securing of vehicles and other cargo
- Take part in maintenance of deck, accommodation and safety equipment
- Follow all safety procedures, drills and company policies on board
- Requirements:
- Valid AB certificate and STCW documents in line with international standards
- Previous sea service as AB, preferably on car carriers or similar vessels
- Valid medical fitness certificate and seafarer’s documents
- Good English communication skills for work and safety
- Team player with safe working attitude and readiness for worldwide trading
