Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer on an offshore pipe-layer working out of India. You will be part of the engine room team, supporting safe and reliable operation of all machinery and equipment.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engines, generators, and auxiliary machinery
- Carry out planned maintenance, routine checks, and record keeping
- Monitor engine room parameters and report any irregularities
- Support bunkering, fuel transfer, and machinery troubleshooting
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company and class requirements
- Assist in emergency drills and engine room safety procedures
- Requirements:
- Valid 3rd Engineer (Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch) Certificate of Competency
- STCW basic and advanced certificates as required for rank
- Previous sea service in offshore vessels preferred
- Good English communication and reporting skills
- Medically fit with valid seafarer medical certificate and seaman’s book
