OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Ordinary Seaman (OS) to join a busy container vessel trading worldwide. You will work closely with the deck crew, supporting safe and efficient vessel operations.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with mooring, unmooring and anchoring operations
- Carry out chipping, painting and general deck maintenance
- Handle lashings and securing of containers as directed
- Stand lookout and assist on bridge as required
- Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean and tidy
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as OS, preferably on container vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and seaman’s book
- Good English communication skills
- Medically fit for sea duty
- Willingness to work in a multinational crew and worldwide trade
