OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Cook (C/C) for a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be in charge of the galley, providing safe, good-quality meals for officers and crew and maintaining high hygiene standards on board.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and cook daily meals for all crew and officers
- Manage food stores, provisions and galley equipment
- Ensure strict hygiene, cleanliness and safe food handling in the galley
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering provisions
- Work closely with the Master on menu planning and budget control
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook on ocean-going vessels, preferably bulk carriers
- Valid seafarer documents and medical certificate as per STCW
- Basic safety training and food handling/health & hygiene certificates
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational crew
