Join OSM Thome as Fitter on board STENA FLAVIA. You will work closely with the engine and deck teams to keep all steel structures, pipes and equipment in safe and reliable condition.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out welding, cutting, grinding and basic fabrication jobs on board
- Repair and maintain steel structures, handrails, ladders, tanks and pipe systems
- Assist engineers with maintenance and overhaul of machinery when needed
- Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean and in good order
- Support deck and engine departments with other technical tasks as required
- Requirements:
- Previous sea service as Fitter or Motorman/Fitter on seagoing vessels
- Good welding and fabrication skills (electric/arc, gas cutting)
- Valid STCW documents and medical fitness certificate
- Ability to read simple technical drawings and follow work instructions
- Good English communication and strong safety awareness
