Join OSM Thome as Chief Cook on board an offshore construction vessel trading worldwide. You will lead the galley team, plan and prepare meals for crew and officers, and keep high standards of hygiene and food safety at all times.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare daily meals for multinational crew and officers
- Manage galley stores, ordering, receiving, and stock control
- Ensure proper food handling, hygiene, and cleanliness in galley and mess rooms
- Control food costs and reduce waste while maintaining good quality
- Lead and train galley staff, organize work and duty schedules
- Follow company and vessel safety procedures at all times
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook or Cook on offshore or deep-sea vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good knowledge of safe food handling and galley hygiene standards
- Ability to cook varied, nutritious meals for an international crew
- Good English communication skills
- Team player with strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure
