Join OSM Thome as an Electrician (ELEC) on an offshore fixed platform in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You will be responsible for keeping all electrical systems safe, reliable, and in good working order to support daily operations offshore.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical equipment and systems
- Monitor power generation and distribution, ensuring safe and stable operation
- Inspect and test electrical installations, panels, motors, and cables
- Follow planned maintenance routines and record all work done
- Support safe work practices and comply with all safety procedures and permits
- Assist with commissioning and upgrades of electrical and control systems when required
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in offshore or maritime operations
- Relevant electrical trade qualification and valid offshore certificates (as required by flag/client)
- Good knowledge of marine and offshore electrical systems and safety standards
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and manuals
- Fit for offshore work, with valid medical and necessary safety training
- Ability to work in a multinational crew and communicate well in English
