OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 3rd Engineer (3/E) to join our chemical tanker fleet trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional engine team, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all machinery and systems onboard.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and engine room equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance and routine checks as per PMS and chief engineer’s instructions
- Monitor bunker, lube oil and chemical consumption and condition
- Assist in cargo-related machinery operations and tank cleaning equipment
- Maintain engine room logs, records and reports accurately
- Ensure safe working practices and good housekeeping in the engine room
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer CoC, meeting STCW requirements
- Previous experience on chemical tankers
- Experience with ME engines
- Valid STCW basic and advanced tanker/chemical endorsements
- Good English communication skills, spoken and written
- Fit for duty with valid medical and vaccination certificates as required
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a multinational crew
