Key responsibilities
- Carry out mooring and unmooring operations
- Assist with loading, securing, and discharging vehicles and cargo
- Stand lookout and helmsman watch as directed by the officer on watch
- Perform routine maintenance, chipping, painting, and cleaning on deck
- Follow safety procedures and take part in drills and inspections
- Support emergency and passenger safety duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid AB seafarer’s certificate in accordance with STCW
- Valid STCW basic safety training and seafarer medical certificate
- Previous experience on RORO or ROPAX vessels preferred
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for deck work and able to work in a mixed-nationality crew
