Cargo Officer I FPSO I NIGERIA
The Cargo Officer on an FPSO is responsible for the safe handling, storage, measurement, and transfer of crude oil and other liquid cargoes produced onboard.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor crude oil production entering cargo tanks.
Manage cargo tank operations, including loading, discharging, ballasting, and de-ballasting.
Conduct cargo calculations, ullaging, sampling, and tank gauging.
Maintain cargo records and production reports.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company procedures.
Coordinate offshore oil offloading operations to shuttle tankers.
Monitor inert gas systems, cargo pumps, valves, and tank conditions.
Participate in emergency response and safety drills.
Qualifications
STCW certification.
Tanker endorsements (Oil Tanker Familiarization/Advanced Oil Tanker Operations).
Offshore survival certificates
BOSIET/FOET, CA-EBS
OERTM
Offshore Medical
ENG1 Medical Certificate (or equivalent)
Experience on tankers, FPSOs, FSOs, or offshore production facilities.
Understanding of cargo control systems and marine operations.
Key Skills
Cargo calculations and oil measurement.
Strong safety awareness.
Communication and teamwork.
Ability to work in a multinational offshore environment.
