Join OSM Thome as Fitter on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be part of the engine and deck team, helping to keep the vessel, its machinery and equipment safe and in good working order.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out steel repairs, welding, cutting and fabrication work
- Assist with maintenance of hull, pipelines, tanks and deck fittings
- Support engine room maintenance and overhauls when required
- Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
- Keep tools, workshop and work areas clean and in good condition
- Requirements:
- Previous seagoing experience as Fitter or similar position
- Strong welding and metal fabrication skills (arc/MMA, gas cutting, etc.)
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good spoken English and ability to work in an international crew
- Safety-minded, hardworking and willing to work worldwide
