OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer (2/E) for oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be a key member of the engine team, supporting safe and efficient vessel operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room management and maintenance
- Operate and monitor main engine, auxiliaries, boilers and related equipment
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ensure safe bunkering and fuel/lube oil handling
- Maintain engine room logs, records and reports
- Support safe and compliant tanker operations at sea and in port
Requirements
- Valid STCW III/2 2nd Engineer license for motor ships
- Recent experience as 2/E on oil/chemical tankers
- All required STCW safety and tanker endorsements
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and good teamwork attitude
