OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to work onboard Offshore Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels trading in Europe and the UK. You will be responsible for keeping all electrical and electronic systems safe, reliable, and in good working order to support safe vessel operations.
Key responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair all electrical and electronic equipment onboard, including power generation and distribution systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation, control, DP and navigation systems
- Carry out planned maintenance and keep records up to date
- Support safe and efficient AHTS operations through reliable technical performance
- Ensure compliance with class, flag state and company standards
- Assist with fault-finding, emergency repairs and dry-docking when required
Requirements
- Valid ETO CoC/appropriate electro-technical officer certification meeting STCW requirements
- Previous sea service as ETO, preferably on Offshore or AHTS vessels
- Strong experience with marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Valid offshore certificates (e.g. BOSIET/FOET, HUET) are an advantage
- Fit for duty with valid medical fitness certificate
