- Key responsibilities
- Overall command of the vessel, crew and cargo operations
- Ensure safe navigation, passage planning and bridge management
- Maintain ISM/ISPS, flag state and class compliance
- Oversee cargo handling, stowage and stability on bulk carrier trades
- Lead and train officers and crew in safety and emergency drills
- Manage communication with owners, charterers and port authorities
- Requirements
- Valid Master Mariner (Unlimited) license
- Recent experience as Master on bulk carriers
- Good knowledge of international rules, regulations and SMS
- Strong leadership, ship handling and decision-making skills
- Good English communication, written and spoken
- Valid STCW certificates and acceptable sea service record
