Join OSM Thome as Chief Cook onboard an offshore PSV operating in the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for preparing good, nutritious meals for the crew and keeping the galley and storerooms in safe, clean and orderly condition.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals for all crew, including special diets when required
- Manage galley operations, including food storage, hygiene and safety
- Control provisions, monitor stock levels and assist with ordering
- Ensure proper cleaning of galley, mess rooms and related areas
- Follow vessel health, safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook or Cook on offshore vessels, preferably PSV
- Valid STCW certificates and relevant catering/ship’s cook documentation
- UK National or holding UK Frontier Work Permit / UK Skilled Visa
- Good knowledge of food safety and galley hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently and provide varied menus for multinational crews
- Good English communication skills
