Key responsibilities
- Assist the Master in the safe navigation and overall operation of the vessel
- Plan and supervise cargo loading, discharging, tank cleaning and ballast operations
- Lead and manage the deck crew, ensuring safe work practices at all times
- Oversee deck maintenance, safety equipment, and vessel stability
- Monitor compliance with company, flag state and international regulations
- Support and promote onboard safety, security and environmental standards
Requirements
- Valid Chief Officer (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency
- Recent experience as C/O on crude oil tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements as per rank
- Strong cargo handling and ship handling experience on tankers
- Good English communication skills
- Positive leadership attitude and strong safety mindset
- With Framo Pump experience
