Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer (2/E) on a crude oil tanker with RT Flex Engine experience required trading in High Risk Area (HRA). You will support the Chief Engineer in running and maintaining all engine room machinery, ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Engineer in daily operation and maintenance of main engine and auxiliaries
- Carry out planned and corrective maintenance on engine room equipment
- Monitor engine performance, fuel and lube oil systems
- Ensure safe engine room practices and compliance with company and international regulations
- Maintain engine room logs, records and reports
- Support bunkering, cargo operations and drills as required
- Requirements:
- Valid 2nd Engineer CoC for tanker vessels
- Previous experience as 2/E on crude oil tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty medical and all mandatory seafarer documents
- Experience trading in HRA is an advantage
