2nd Cook/Assistant Cook needed for offshore SOV in France. Join OSM Thome, IWS and support galley operations at sea.
Join OSM Thome, IWS as a 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on board a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) in France. You will support the Galley team in preparing tasty, healthy meals for crew and offshore personnel, keeping high standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Cook in daily meal preparation and baking
- Prepare simple dishes, salads, snacks, and support menu execution
- Maintain galley and stores in clean and orderly condition
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and portion control procedures
- Assist with receiving, checking, and proper storage of provisions
- Support waste segregation and disposal as per vessel procedures
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on offshore vessels or ships
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for offshore work
- Good knowledge of galley hygiene and safe food handling
- Ability to work in a small team and follow instructions
- Basic English communication skills
