Key responsibilities
- Overall command of vessel, crew and cargo
- Ensure safe navigation and ship handling in all conditions
- Lead, train and motivate officers and ratings
- Ensure full compliance with flag, class, company and international regulations
- Oversee cargo operations, stability and seaworthiness
- Manage onboard safety, security and emergency drills
- Maintain proper documentation, reports and communication with shore
Requirements
- Valid Master Mariner (STCW II/2) license for seagoing vessels
- Proven experience as Master on bulk carriers
- Strong seamanship, navigation and ship-handling skills
- Solid knowledge of ISM, ISPS and MARPOL
- Good leadership, communication and crew management skills
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and required documents
