Join OSM Thome as Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on oil/chemical tankers withOSM Thome / Stenersen.. You will be part of a professional crew, keeping all electrical and electronic systems safe, reliable, and ready for operation at sea and in port.
Key responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain all electrical and electronic equipment onboard
- Carry out fault-finding and repairs on power generation, distribution, and automation systems
- Look after navigation, communication, cargo control, and engine room control systems
- Plan and perform preventive maintenance in line with PMS and maker’s instructions
- Support safe cargo and engine operations by ensuring equipment is in good working order
- Maintain accurate technical records, reports, and spare parts inventory
- Work closely with deck and engine officers to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations
Requirements
- Valid ETO CoC meeting STCW requirements
- Recent sea service as ETO, preferably on oil/chemical tankers
- Strong experience with marine electrical systems, automation, and electronics
- Familiarity with tanker operations and safety procedures
- Valid STCW safety trainings and medical certificate
- Good English communication skills and ability to work in a multinational crew
