Join OSM Thome as an Electrician (ELEC) on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be responsible for keeping all electrical and electronic systems in safe and reliable working condition to support smooth vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out inspection, maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot faults in generators, switchboards, motors, lighting and control systems
- Maintain and repair bridge, navigation and communication equipment as instructed
- Keep accurate maintenance records and spare parts inventory for electrical equipment
- Follow safety procedures and support safe working practices in all electrical work
- Requirements:
- Previous sea-going experience as Electrician / ETO, preferably on bulk carriers
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness in line with international standards
- Good knowledge of marine electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and manuals
- Good English communication skills and ability to work in an international crew
