Join OSM Thome as a AB/Crane Operator (CRO) on an offshore construction vessel working in UK waters. You will handle heavy lifts, support deck operations, and help ensure safe and efficient offshore construction work.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate offshore cranes safely for lifting cargo, equipment, and structures
- Plan and execute lifts in line with lift plans and company procedures
- Coordinate closely with deck crew, riggers, and bridge during operations
- Carry out pre-use checks and routine maintenance on crane equipment
- Monitor weather and sea conditions and adjust operations as needed
- Keep records of lifting operations and report any defects or incidents
- Participate in drills and follow all safety and permit-to-work procedures
- AB responsibility if needed
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as Offshore Crane Operator on construction or heavy-lift vessels
- Valid UK Work Permit
- Valid offshore crane operator certificate (e.g. Stage 2/3 or equivalent)
- Valid offshore survival/medical certificates required to work in UK sector
- Strong knowledge of lifting operations, rigging, and deck safety
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work safely in a busy offshore environment and in a team
