Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on an Oil/Chemical Tanker trading in Europe. We offer a safe, professional working environment with a strong focus on teamwork and high operational standards.
- Key responsibilities:
- Lead deck crew and oversee all deck operations
- Plan and supervise cargo loading, discharging, tank cleaning and ballasting
- Ensure safe navigation and watchkeeping as per company and international rules
- Maintain deck equipment, safety gear and LSA/FFA in good order
- Implement and support ISM/ISPS, company procedures and permit-to-work systems
- Assist the Master with ship’s administration and safety management
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer license for Oil/Chemical Tankers
- Recent experience as C/O or strong 2/O experience on similar tankers
- Valid STCW certificates, tanker endorsements and seafarer documents
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong safety mindset, leadership skills and ability to work in a mixed crew
