Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on a PSV trading offshore Congo. You will be part of the engine team, ensuring safe and reliable operation of all machinery and equipment to support vessel operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Chief Engineer in day-to-day engine room operations and maintenance
- Operate, monitor and troubleshoot main engines, auxiliaries and power generation systems
- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
- Maintain engine room logs, records and reports as required
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company procedures at all times
- Participate in drills and emergency response as part of the engine team
Requirements
- Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2) CoC, suitable for offshore/PSV operations
- Previous experience as 2/E on PSV or similar offshore vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore medical
- Good knowledge of engine room systems, PMS and troubleshooting
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
