  • Job Title: Vessel ICT Technician.
  • Project: Offshore Fleet (Hook-up Projects).
  • Location: Worldwide.
  • Rotation: 35/35 days on/off.
  • Salary: Please confirm your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated Monthly (paid only when working).
  • Start date: ASAP.
  • Contract duration: 12 months (renewable).
  • Overtime: Applicable.
  • Insurances: Provided by the company.
  • Employer: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.


Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT infrastructure in a technical or industrial environment.
  • Practical knowledge of network administration, including Cisco-based systems.
  • Ability to configure and maintain Layer 3 switches and VLAN environments.
  • Experience supporting onboard IT, communication, and electronic systems.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity practices for IT/OT and IoT network environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate technical activities.


Tasks:

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain vessel electrical, electronic, and communication systems.
  • Support the reliability and availability of onboard IT infrastructure, including servers, antennas, and communication platforms.
  • Plan maintenance activities, define priorities, and organize scheduled interventions.
  • Identify required spare parts and maintain appropriate equipment stock levels.
  • Ensure all technical work follows company safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Implement IT-related upgrades and system adjustments required for vessel projects.
  • Manage connectivity between IT and operational/IoT networks in line with cybersecurity policies.
  • Assist with network configuration, fault diagnosis, and continuous system improvement.
