OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer for a crude oil tanker trading worldwide. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently on board.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Chief Engineer in day-to-day engine room operations and maintenance
- Run, monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries and related systems
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs
- Ensure safe engine room practices and compliance with company and international rules
- Maintain engine room records, logs and reports
- Support bunkering operations and fuel/lubricant management
Requirements
- Valid STCW license as 2nd Engineer (unlimited)
- Recent experience on crude oil tankers
- Good knowledge of engine room systems and tanker operations
- All mandatory STCW certificates and valid medical fitness
- Good English communication skills
