Join OSM Thome as 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer onboard STENA FORWARDER. You will work closely with the engine team to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for an officer starting a seagoing engine career and looking to build experience in a professional tanker fleet trading from the UK. UK work permit is required.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in daily operation and watchkeeping of engine room and machinery
- Carry out routine checks, maintenance and repairs as directed by senior engineers
- Monitor main and auxiliary engines, pumps, purifiers and other equipment
- Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date
- Follow all safety, environmental and company procedures at all times
- Requirements:
- Valid 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer CoC meeting STCW requirements
- Previous sea experience in engine department (tanker experience an advantage)
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates and medical fitness
- Good English communication skills
- Valid UK work permit
