Set sail as 1st Cook on a passenger ferry in Europe with OSM Thome. You will lead the galley team, prepare tasty and well-presented meals for crew and passengers, and ensure a safe and clean working environment at all times.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare daily meals for crew and passengers
- Supervise galley staff and organize work in the kitchen
- Ensure food is cooked safely and on time for each service
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and order in all galley areas
- Control stock, monitor food quality, and reduce waste
- Follow all vessel and company safety and hygiene procedures
- Requirements:
- Sea-going experience as Cook, preferably on passenger or ferry vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good knowledge of galley safety and food hygiene standards
- Ability to lead a small galley team and work under time pressure
- Good English communication skills
