Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on an offshore multicat utility vessel in Taiwan. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and equipment, supporting daily offshore and towing operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain all engine room and deck machinery
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs
- Monitor fuel, lube oil, spares and technical supplies
- Ensure safe engine room operations and compliance with company and statutory rules
- Lead, train and supervise engine department crew
- Report technical issues and cooperate closely with Master and shore team
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license for appropriate kW and flag requirements
- Previous experience as C/E, preferably on offshore / multicat / workboats
- Good knowledge of marine engines, auxiliaries and hydraulics
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore medical fitness
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a small, hands-on crew
