Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on a Multicat Utility Vessel operating offshore Taiwan. You will support safe and efficient marine operations, working closely with the Master and crew in a hands-on, practical role.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Master in safe navigation and vessel operations
- Plan and supervise deck work, towing, anchor handling and cargo operations
- Oversee mooring operations and workboat operations as required
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, permits and toolbox talks
- Maintain deck equipment, safety gear and navigational equipment
- Lead and train deck crew in day-to-day operations and emergency drills
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer (or equivalent) license appropriate for the vessel and trading area
- Previous experience on offshore support or Multicat/utility type vessels
- Good knowledge of towing, anchor handling and deck operations
- Strong safety focus and good leadership skills with multinational crews
- Good English communication skills
- Medically fit for offshore and seagoing duties
