- Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engine room team
- Operate and maintain main engine, auxiliaries and all engine room equipment
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs
- Monitor fuel, lube oil and spare parts consumption and inventories
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company standards
- Prepare and maintain engine room logs and reports
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license for seagoing vessels
- Recent experience as C/E on bulk carriers preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good command of English, written and spoken
- Able to work in a multinational crew and under demanding sea conditions
