Join OSM Thome as Master on a worldwide trading chemical tanker. Take full command of the vessel, lead a strong crew, and ensure safe and efficient operations across global routes.
- Key responsibilities:
- Overall command of the vessel and crew
- Safe navigation and ship handling on worldwide voyages
- Ensure compliance with international, flag state and company regulations
- Oversee cargo operations for chemical cargoes, including loading, discharging and tank cleaning
- Lead onboard safety culture, drills and emergency preparedness
- Manage documentation, reports and communication with office and charterers
- Mentor and develop junior officers and crew
- Requirements:
- Valid Master Mariner (Unlimited) license
- Recent experience as Master or Chief Officer on chemical tankers
- Advanced/Management level tanker and chemical tanker endorsements
- Strong knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MARPOL and cargo handling procedures
- Good English communication skills
- Medically fit for sea service and holding all valid STCW certificates
- Experience with wall wash cargoes
- Experience sailing on vessels with coated tanks
