Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer (2/E) on an Offshore Support Vessel operating in Brazil. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and engine room team to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently in offshore operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Chief Engineer in safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and equipment
- Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain main engines, auxiliaries, pumps and ship systems
- Carry out planned maintenance and keep engine room records up to date
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company procedures at all times
- Support bunkering, drills and inspections as required
Requirements
- Valid 2nd Engineer (Unlimited) CoC, STCW compliant
- Offshore / OSV or similar experience preferred
- Good knowledge of engine room systems and planned maintenance
- Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates, medical and seaman’s book
- Good English communication skills; teamwork and safety-first mindset
