OSM Thome is seeking an experienced Chief Officer to join our fleet of rock dumping vessels operating worldwide. If you are a safety-focused maritime professional with strong leadership skills and offshore construction experience, we invite you to become part of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all deck operations and maintenance activities.
Assist the Master with navigation, bridge watchkeeping, and the safe operation of the vessel.
Lead, mentor, and train deck crew, ensuring compliance with safe working practices.
Oversee cargo operations, vessel stability, ballasting, and related deck activities.
Coordinate deck support for rock dumping and offshore construction operations.
Maintain deck, lifesaving (LSA), and firefighting appliances (FFA) in accordance with statutory and company requirements.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, the ISM Code, ISPS Code, and applicable international regulations.
Requirements:
Chief Officer Unlimited Certificate of Competency (CoC).
Previous experience as Chief Officer on offshore construction, rock dumping, subsea, or similar vessel types.
Valid STCW certification and seafarer medical certificate.
Strong leadership, navigational, and safety management skills.
Experience with DP operations is obligatory
Good command of spoken and written English.
