Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. We are looking for a hands-on, safety-minded leader who can support the Master and ensure efficient and safe deck operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Master in safe navigation and ship handling
- Plan and supervise cargo operations, stability, and ballasting
- Lead and manage deck crew, including work planning and training
- Oversee maintenance of deck equipment and safety gear
- Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, and company procedures
- Maintain deck logs, records, and reports as required
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer (Unlimited) license
- Experience as C/O or 2/O on bulk carriers
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Strong cargo handling, stability, and mooring experience
- Good English communication skills
- Proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork
