OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) to lead safe and efficient operations on board a pipe-laying vessel in Brazil. If you have strong offshore leadership skills and solid experience with marine and deck operations, this role could be a great fit.
Key responsibilities
- Overall command of the vessel and offshore operations
- Ensure safe pipe-laying and marine operations at all times
- Lead and manage the offshore crew and supervisors
- Plan and coordinate daily work with marine, deck and project teams
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and international regulations
- Monitor operational performance and report to shore management
- Oversee emergency response drills and safety culture on board
Requirements
- Proven experience as OIM or senior offshore management role
- Background from pipe-laying, construction, or similar offshore vessels
- Strong knowledge of offshore marine operations and HSE standards
- Valid OIM or equivalent offshore/nautical certification as required
- Good leadership, communication and decision-making skills
- Fluent English, both spoken and written
