Join OSM Thome as Fitter on an offshore dredger, trading worldwide. We are looking for a hands-on, safety-minded seafarer who can keep hull, deck and machinery steelwork in good, reliable condition.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication jobs on deck and in engine room
- Perform hull, piping, structure and equipment repairs as instructed by Chief Engineer
- Assist engine crew with maintenance and overhauls when required
- Maintain tools, welding machines and workshop in safe working order
- Follow onboard safety procedures and permit-to-work system at all times
- Requirements:
- Experience as Fitter at sea, preferably on offshore/dredger or similar vessels
- Strong welding and fabrication skills (arc, gas cutting, basic machining)
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for worldwide service
- Good English for work and safety communication
- Team player with a practical, problem-solving attitude
